I focus on building a fabulous fun everyday relationship with your partner, as well as a providing a complete foundation on which to do ANY activities with your dog. But my passion is agility and I love teaching and motivating both dog and handler to be the best they can be right from the start. I train with the very top competitors in the world, as well as 5 pups who have taught me even more (my motto: Real Women Train Terriers!) and strive to pass on all that I have learned from both. Lesson plans are handed out every class, including homework and helpful emails and videos to guide you. On a personal note, I am a volunteer and perpetual Foster Mom for Col Potter Cairn Terrier Rescue, and a TDAA (Teacup Agility) judge.

My family includes:

CHARLIE, a 'Benji Terrier' mix, has many agility titles in TDAA, NADAC and USDAA. He was a spokesdog to lobby the AKC to allow mixed breeds to compete, and has thus far earned an RA, OA, AXJ, and OF. He also likes competitive obedience and rally, and LOVES lure coursing and entertaining crowds.

QUINCY, a who-knows-what mix, also has titles in USDAA agility and is now one of the most accomplished mixed breeds in AKC history, so far earning a CD title in obedience, a RE (rally excellent) title, and an NA, NAJ and OF in agility.

Annabelle, my baby Cairn Terrier, earned her Rally Novice title at 7 months old, and is making her debut in agility and obedience. She has an unbelievable repetoire of tricks, too.

Henry and Katie - my wonderful Cairn Terrors! Henry has tried his paw at rally and earned his RN and Katie is loving her Nose Works classes .They both have their CGC certificates.

I have been an instructor in Agility for a few years now and I find that every class I teach, every dog and handler team that I meet, increases my understanding of dog behavior. I value the experience of working with different breeds of dogs and handlers with goals of "I just want to have fun with my dog" all the way up to "I want my dog to gain Agility titles". I continue to further my education in agility through seminars with some of the top trainers in the country in order to improve in the handling of my own dogs and to pass what I have learned on to the students at our classes sponsored by DOCOH.

I have been clicker training my latest dog and am amazed at the things that can be achieved with this training method and will offer clicker basics as a choice along with the standard positive training methods.

I have participated in agility for ten years and teaching for seven. I currently have three dogs running in Excellent, Lucky, an Australian Shepherd; Zoe, a Flat Coated Retriever, and Bek, a Flat Coated Retriever. I also run Casey, a Maltese, who is between Novice and Open. My dogs have numerous titles in AKC and USDAA. Bek is also a conformation champion.
